Equidistant needle design
With the Equidistant needle, users are guided along to make neat stitches. The solution lies in the colored markings on the needles that reflect the spacing of the stitches. Equidistant enhances the effects of hand sewing and makes the process more efficient.

PROJECT GOAL & WHAT WE DO

Many sewing beginners are not good at controlling the distance from the needle, resulting in different stitching pitch. It cause the poor durability and appearance of the work . Is a very frustrating experience.

Sewing class for children
Sewing is a task that can enhance hand-eye coordination skills, so it is often included in elementary school home economics classes. We want to provide a design which enhances the quality of children's works to establish their sense of achievement.
WORKFLOW

We organized the user's operating procedures during sewing and asked several possible problems. In the end, we consolidated three main design goals.

3 main goals

keep improving
After we analysed the workflow, we set three objectives, which were "improving the quality of the finished sewing product", "the function of temporary placement", and "clear size marking".
We aimed to create a good experience with the least change. So we constantly adjust the design on the needle.

01
Pass the needle through. When the color section appears, it means you have to turn the needle to the other side.
02
When the color section appears completely, you can turn the needle again.
03
Align the front end of the color section with the previous exit and turn the needle to the other side.
04
Finally, repeat steps one through three to get an equidistant and straight stitch.
NEEDLE CASE

The color part on the box uses a magnetic sticker to attract the temporarily placed needle to the box so that the needle is not placed at random, causing the user be hurted.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS

The manufacturing process of Equidistant is very simple. We use the plating method that is now very common, generally used for the end of the needle.
